Lovely dining area with original wooden beams

The beautiful, rustic interior has been carefully refurbished to embrace and enhance the original features of the inn. The result is a timeless, cosy and wonderfully authentic space where you can relax with a local ale, chat with old friends or put your favourite music on the radiogram.

The inn itself is comprised of three main rooms and three seated dining areas for those who wish to grab a bite to eat. The quaint, atmospheric main bar boasts an iconic, feature inglenook fireplace, with flagstone flooring and original wooden beams that make for an inviting atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the back bar area is perfect for a quiet drink with friends, where you’ll find comfy leather armchairs, a classic radiogram and an ever-growing collection of vinyl records. Sip a glass of wine and listen to your favourite music, or challenge one of our regulars to a game of pool if you’re up for a challenge.

If you’re feeling peckish, there are three lovely dining spaces – the Pine Room is a cosy, casual area for a delicious meal or snack, whilst the Map Room is ideal for a more intimate dining experience. There is a third dining area that is perfect for special occasions and private dining, seating 22 people.

In the warmer months (or if you have a warm jacket!) there’s also a picturesque courtyard that is a real sun trap in the summer, when it’s overtaken with beautiful plants and flowers. Here you can enjoy a nice chilled glass of cider or a meal from the bar al fresco.

Our chefs work hard to create wonderful flavours whilst utilising the amazing seasonal produce available on our doorstep, so your meal will be fresh and memorable.
