Exmoor Wildlife

Exmoor may be famous for its ponies, but there are so many of nature’s wonders that call the National Park their home - it’s no wonder that wildlife watchers come from all over the world to take in the Exmoor wildlife. Exmoor boasts a range of habitats – from vast expanses of moorland, ancient oak woodland, clear streams and stretches of coastline.

Thanks to the diversity of these habitats, you are in with a chance of viewing some truly rare and wonderful wildlife. Majestic red deer wander through the woodland, otters dive and dance through the crystal clear rivers and you’ll even find some of the UK’s rarest butterflies, so be sure to bring a camera in case you’re lucky enough to spot them.
